Our mission
AI tools launch, pivot, get acquired and shut down very quickly. AI Tool Graveyard tracks what happened to each tool, based on sources you can check, so you can choose tools carefully and move your work before a shutdown catches you out. The site is run by M Javed Iqbal in Pakistan.
What we track
We currently track 84 verified tools. Each one has a status, a source link, an explanation and suggested alternatives. We add tools only when we can source them, and we prefer a smaller accurate list to a large unverified one.
How statuses are verified
- Primary sources first. We use official announcements, help-center notices, sunset pages and press releases.
- Reputable news. We use established news reporting when there is no official statement.
- Automated daily checks. A scheduled checker visits official tool URLs every day. Errors, dead domains and unexpected redirects go into a human review queue.
- Humans decide. No status is ever changed automatically. An editor confirms every change against a source and records the date it was verified.
Status definitions
- Active: operating normally.
- Acquired: bought by, or absorbed into, another company. The product may continue or be wound down.
- At risk: credible warning signs, such as an announced sunset date, features being removed, financial or legal distress, or the product being replaced.
- Abandoned: still reachable but no longer maintained, with no official shutdown.
- Shutdown: officially discontinued, or no longer usable.
Editorial independence and affiliate disclosure
Statuses and editorial content are never for sale. Some links on this site may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. The site may also show ads. Affiliate relationships and advertising never affect a tool’s status, and we will mark sponsored content clearly.
Report a dead tool or a correction
Know of a tool that has shut down, been acquired or changed? Or think one of our statuses is wrong? Email us at contact@aitoolgraveyard.com with the tool name and a source link. We review every report, and we update a status only after we have verified it.
