HuggingChat

HuggingChat is Hugging Face’s chat interface for open models. Its code (chat-ui) is open source and can be self-hosted. Best for: trying open-weight models without setup; self-hosting a chat UI with chat-ui. Hugging Face closed HuggingChat temporarily on July 1, 2025 while it prepared a new version; the chat page was live again when we checked. HuggingChat is active. Its official site responded normally when we checked on October 23, 2026. If you need something similar, popular options include Mistral Le Chat, DeepSeek, Poe.
