Supermaven
Supermaven was an AI code-completion plugin known for very low latency and a large context window, created by Tabnine founder Jacob Jackson. It was aimed at developers, startups and technical teams who want to build software faster. Anysphere, the maker of Cursor, acquired Supermaven in November 2024 and its team joined Cursor. Supermaven was later sunset in November 2025, with existing users offered refunds and continued free autocomplete inference for a period. New users should use Cursor Tab or another assistant. If you need something similar today, popular options include Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf. Lesson for users: always keep your own copies of important data when you rely on any AI service, because products can change owners or close with little notice.
